Hi! I'm Char. I created this blog to track my journey into the life of au naturel. Since the beginning of my beginning, my mom instilled a desire with in me to eat and live healthy. She also taught me the importance of being cheap frugal {Which I do pride myself upon!} A few months ago I began couponing. I was getting sick of spending lots of money on what felt like, nothing. I clipped my little coupons, went to the store and bought all of my stuff and felt awesome because I was saving about 40% on my grocery bill. Our pantry was stocked with fruit snacks, chips, jello, pudding, pasta, kool-aid and canned vegetables. Then one day it happened, I bought 8 packs of hot dogs for 12 cents a piece. 12 CENTS!! I was so proud! I left the store feeling so awesome. Then I got home. I was cutting one up for Nash and was about to nuke it when I started looking at it. What is in this hot dog if they can sell it for less than 2 cents? That is when my whole way of thinking changed. I stared reading labels on everything. EVERYTHING! Instead of spending time looking at blogs about home decorating and how to make the perfect cupcake, I was reading about high fructose corn syrup and the steroids in our meat and poultry. I read about gardening and raising chickens. So this is my personal story about letting go of the junk and started fresh, literally!
